Monster Tree Service, the nation’s first and fastest-growing tree service franchise, is expanding into Northern Virginia. Recently featured by SUCCESS magazine, Thrive Global, and Franchise Times, the Monster Tree Service franchise continues to build on its rapid three-year franchise system growth.
Business entrepreneur Michael Cochran has purchased the rights to a Monster Tree Service Territory in Northern Virginia, covering Fairfax County, Arlington County, and surrounding areas. Cochran started scheduling customers even before his official grand opening so he could hit the ground running.
Cochran has a 20-year career background in information technology (IT) and most recently served as Senior Director of Information Security Compliance for a large clinical research company. When Cochran decided it was time to step away from his executive position, he knew he didn’t want to work for anyone else. He wanted to run his own business.
“I liked the idea of being in charge of my destiny,” says Cochran. “I grew up in Northern Virginia, and I wanted a business in my community that I could build into something bigger. I really liked the growth opportunities with Monster Tree Service. I believe I can be competitive and successful in this area.”
Josh Skolnick, CEO and Founder of Monster Tree Service, is confident Cochran will be an excellent Monster Tree Service franchise owner.
“Michael is an ideal Monster Tree Service franchisee,” says Skolnick. “He has a solid business background and an entrepreneurial spirit that can’t be stopped. He has a knack for understanding the needs of his community, and I am confident he will thrive as the newest member of the Monster family. We are thrilled to have Michael on our team.”
Monster Tree Service is the only franchise tree company capitalizing on the under-served $17 billion tree service industry. Monster Tree Service has achieved consistent year-over-year, 5 percent growth since 2009, resulting in a $10+ million business. Because it’s a high-upside opportunity, and a recession-proof business, Monster Tree Service expects to achieve $100 million in sales by 2021.
“Northern Virginia is a densely populated area with many trees that have been around since the Civil War and even the American Revolution,” says Cochran. “In many of these established neighborhoods homes are built close together, so it can be challenging to care for trees that are 200+ years old. We have a team of experts with the knowledge and experience to deal with this unique concern in our community. We are also excited to offer our wide array of services, including, plant health care, tree pruning and removal, and more.”
